Jump training is great but often time it's done in one direction and plane of motion. Here is a progression that adds a transverse (rotation) component and challenges the landing mechanics, coordination, and body control of the athlete.
And with faulty landings being a major culprit for leg injuries, this drill also has an added benefit of training the body to accept and transfer these different forces gracefully and efficiently.
